We have to go a long way to get to this prodigy. In the heart of the mountain Serra do Açor, Piódão is one of the most authentic villages in the country. It is a genuine monument of shale construction that lies at the bottom of Beira, resting on the mountainside like a manger. Here time has another time—plunge into the river pool and absorb the energy. In the same region, but in the mountain Serra de Lousã, nature vibrates in Talasnal. The surrounding fauna (wild boars, deer, stags) and the intense green of the flora unite to form a genuine micro-paradise, away from urban fatigue and full of hospitality.
